Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo
The Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo (PER) is the most popular recreational qualification in Spain. It allows you to skipper craft of up to 15 metres and to sail up to 12 miles from the coast. No prior licence is required. You need to pass a multiple-choice theoretical exam and complete practical training at an approved school. With the relevant practical add-ons it also covers sailing and jet skis.

Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Pass the theoretical exam
- Complete the required practical training
- Hold a valid medical certificate
