Hands-on sail training with Navegaria’s nautical school in Altea

Private sailing from Altea

Navegaria operates private skippered trips from Marina Greenwich (Campomanes) aboard the sailboat Patapalo. A local skipper plans each outing around wind, sea state, and your group—couples, families, and small teams—whether you choose a sunset sail, a half-day, or a full day at sea.

Half-day and full-day routes usually follow the Marina Alta coast toward Moraira, Calpe, or sheltered coves near Altea. There is time to swim, relax on deck, or learn basic manoeuvres if you want a more hands-on day.

Prefer structured training instead of a leisure charter? See our sailing school in Altea. To check dates and trip options, visit our Altea boat rental page.

Day sails toward Calpe from Altea

From Altea you can reach the Calpe coastline on a private day sail when conditions allow. Navegaria skippers review wind and swell before departure and adjust the route so the day stays safe and comfortable.

On favourable days the track may pass Peñón de Ifach with photo stops and time to swim in clear water. The Patapalo has shade, a spacious deck, and an experienced crew who know when to stay closer to Altea instead of pushing offshore.

Courses for Spanish nautical qualifications run at our nautical school. To plan a Calpe-oriented sailing day, check live availability.

Can I rent a boat without a skipper?
At Navegaria, we only offer skippered experiences with an experienced local skipper on board. We do this for three reasons: safer decision-making on changing sea and weather conditions, better local route planning around Altea and nearby coves, and a more relaxed experience so you can focus on enjoying the day instead of handling navigation and maneuvers.
How far in advance should I arrive before departure?
Arriving at least 30 minutes before departure is recommended for briefing, paperwork, and a quick onboard safety explanation.
Where can I book boat trips in Altea?
You can book directly with Navegaria. Daily trips are commonly available in shared or private formats, depending on season and availability. For regional context see Costa Blanca on Wikipedia, browse our coastal destination guides, then check availability.
